Draft Rally Schedule
September 1 - 8, 2027. Departing from Tarifa, Spain, and ending in Skagen, Denmark.
Route Details
Total mileage can range from 5000 to 6000 kilometers, depending on which checkpoints riders choose to achieve. Just like all ADVC events, there will be a vetted and paved GPX backbone file provided.
Checkpoints are published 30 days before the start of the rally.
The rally entry fee encompasses the rally scoring app, GPX and checkpoint files, hotel discount codes, awards, and the awards dinner.
For this particular rally, your rally fee also entitles you to an invitation to the official after-party, which includes a complimentary campsite (subject to certain limitations).
Discounted hotel “group-codes” are provided to riders after they sign up. Each night of the rally, there are a minimum of 50 discounted hotel rooms available at the official rally hotels. These rooms are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. However, more rooms are available if you book directly with the rally hotel.
Route Highlights
Leaving the beaches of Tarifa, there are both drastic paved and off-pavement elevation changes to tear up in the Sierra Bermeja mountain range in Malaga, Spain.
Choose to chase checkpoints on the Old Smugglers' Road or on the paved twisties into Andorra.
The French Pyrénées invite you to rip through France, where you can earn additional points by completing optional extreme checkpoints.
Riders from outside of Europe will experience the German Autobahn, a bucket-list item for every automotive enthusiast.
Competitors chasing the Rough Rider awards will hunt down checkpoints on the beaches of Denmark before arriving in Lands End, Skagen, Denmark.
Pre-Ride
In May 2026, rally officials will ride the proposed paved backbone and some of the optional off-pavement sections of the 2027 European rally route. We expect changes to the backbone between hotels.
Entry Classification
New in 2027, we are implementing “Pro-Class” and “Mile-Crusher-Class” entries. This will help with expediting the daily start procedure and allow for more riders to enter ADVC events.
Pro-Class competitors will be assigned a specific starting time on the grid. These riders have the opportunity to earn the daily first-to-arrive 25-point bonuses. However, there is a small fee to enter as a Pro-Class competitor.
Mile-Crusher-Class will start as a group and can attempt to achieve any award. MCC riders are ineligible for any first-to-arrive bonuses.
*Read all the regulations before signing up.
The Fine Print
This rally isn't for everyone, but everyone is welcome on any bike. It's fully independent in the truest sense of the Cannonball spirit. Ride hard, ride spiritedly, and achieve your ADV Cannonball award goals.
Entries are limited to 59 Pro-Class and 59 Mile-Crusher-Class riders.
There are no refunds or cancellations.

The draft route is intended to give riders an idea of the rally course. Actual checkpoints may not always be located along this proposed paved route. Competitors can select the checkpoints they wish to achieve based on their objectives.
Do not be fooled by a seemingly short and flat day of riding…
To understand which checkpoints you may want to pursue to achieve your ADVC award aspirations, please refer to the REGULATIONS.
Fun notes: The final day of the rally is strategically short. The optional beach riding can be challenging for some competitors. We also want to ensure riders have enough time to get cleaned up and arrive on time for the awards banquet, which starts at 6:00 PM.
